  Lot 59

2003 Mercedes CLK240 Convertible
***NO RESERVE*** Fitted with AMG Black Series style body kit, including upgraded exhaust and suspension

Registration - SV03 LBP

Chassis No. - WDB2094612T007463

M.O.T. - February 2025

Odometer - 121,994

Drawing inspiration from classic “Silver Arrows” Mercedes-Benz racing cars, this CLK 240 Convertible is fittingly finished in silver, and is believed by the owner to be a one-of-a-kind example. A carefully completed CLK AMG 6.3 Black Series recreation, this CLK 240 Convertible looks every inch as though it has been built by Mercedes’ famed tuning specialists in Affalterbach, and is reckoned to be the only convertible Black Series replica in the UK. The bodywork has been built and fitted by Fulhand Cars, and comes complete with fresh paintwork, with the vendor describing the sharply-styled exterior as being in ‘excellent’ condition.

Under the bonnet sits the 2.6-litre V6 petrol engine fitted to the CLK 240 range, making it ULEZ compliant under current regulations, and that unit is connected to a five-speed automatic transmission – both of which are ‘excellent’ according to the current owner.

Rolling off the factory production line in ‘Avantgarde’ specification, many of the exterior details have been altered with the fitting of the Black Series replica kit, including 20-inch deep dish staggered wheels – which have new tyres fitted – and custom quad exhaust for the full aural Black Series experience. TA Technix coilovers have been fitted too, to make sure that the changes are not simply skin-deep. The cabin remains in standard specification, which includes two-tone grey leather interior and multi-function steering wheel, plus of course, the folding convertible roof.

Recently serviced, and with a long MOT, this near 21 year old car looks in great condition for its age, and carries its indicated 121,994 miles well. All areas of the vehicle are described by the vendor as being in ‘excellent’ condition, and buyers have the chance to obtain a full AMG look, but without the performance car costs.

Mercedes-Benz’s CLK-Class is a key, but relatively short-lived, model in the German giant’s history. Having been introduced in 1996, it proved a temporary separated ‘E-Class’ coupe and convertible option, before the two-door models were brought back within the E-Class’s portfolio. The mid-sized premium coupe and cabriolet saw three-generations within its time in production, starting with the C/W208 version, followed by the C/A209 models, and completing the set with the C/A207 series. The badge was also successfully raced in Germany’s DTM touring car championship, and provided the inspiration behind the CLK GTR GT1 endurance racer.

  • Unique example of Mercedes’ convertible CLK
  • Fitted with AMG Black Series style body kit, including upgraded exhaust and suspension
  • Running a CLK 240 powertrain under the bonnet
