Our flagship Gold Cup Auction returns to Oulton Park on Bank Holiday Monday, forming a centrepiece of one of the UK’s most celebrated historic motorsport weekends.
Held as part of the prestigious Oulton Park Gold Cup, which returns to its traditional August Bank Holiday date for 2026, the event brings together three days of racing, entertainment and concours-level machinery. With Sunday and Monday acting as the main showpiece days, the circuit attracts thousands of enthusiasts, collectors and motorsport fans, creating an exceptional backdrop and audience for our auction.
The Gold Cup Auction presents a carefully curated selection of classic cars, performance models and supercars, aligned with the quality and prestige of the event itself. Our July sale introduces The Hampson Auction at our Cheshire headquarters, presenting a curated selection of classic, performance and modern collector vehicles within a dedicated and professionally managed setting.
This sale adopts our refined live online auction format, conducted behind closed doors with a professional auctioneer and live streamed via our website, with bidding available globally online and via telephone. With over 70 percent of our buyers now transacting online across the UK and internationally, this reflects how the market operates today while retaining the energy of a live auction environment.
The Hampson Auction name is rooted in our heritage, first used at our Winsford headquarters in the 1980s, now returned in a modern format.
Extended viewing will be available for five days prior to the auction, with the sale conducted live at 12 noon on Sunday 19th July 2026.
Buyers benefit from seven days complimentary storage following the sale, allowing collection without immediate time pressure.
