The Gold Cup Classic & Performance Car & Motorcycle Auction

  Lot 125

2015 Maserati Ghibli
Only 53,000 miles with full Maserati service history

Registration - HF15 AOO

Chassis No. - ZAMRS57C001141596

M.O.T. - November 2023

Odometer - 53,948

The white bodywork of this typically luxurious Maserati is complemented by a sea of red leather interior trim and black multi-spoke alloy wheels shod with ultra-low profile Dunlop tyres. The Ghibli is powered by the optional twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine that in standard pre-2016 form delivered 325bhp – sufficient for a 0-60mph time of a little over 5 seconds and terminal speed north of 160mph. The powerplant drives through an eight-speed automatic gearbox to the rear wheels. The vendor is the third owner, who acquired the car in May 2020, since when he’s added some 20,000 miles to the total, which currently stands at 53,948. He informs us that Maserati has remained totally trouble-free during his tenure and presently regards the turbocharged engine, transmission, four-door bodywork and paintwork as all being in ‘excellent’ order, and grades the upholstery as ‘good’. He is now offering the Ghibli complete with sunroof, full Maserati service history, handbooks and a selection invoices, plus a current MOT valid to November 7.

One of the founding pillars of the Italian automotive industry, Maserati was launched in 1914 by Alfiera Maserati, and the company was initially run by him and his brothers, but subsequently passed through the hands of the Orsi family, Citroën, De Tomaso, Fiat and Ferrari, and is these days part of the giant Stellantis group. It, however, still retains its famous Trident logo that was designed by Mario Maserati almost a century ago. The Ghibli name has so far adorned three generations of Maserati, the most recent of which, the Tipo M157, was launched at the Shanghai Motor Show in 2013. It is a mid-range four-door saloon that remains in production today and is based on a shortened wheelbase version of the Quattroporte’s steel monocoque chassis. The model is available with either a 3.0-litre or 3.8-litre V6 petrol engine or 3.0-litre V6 diesel unit, making it the first Maserati ever to be offered with diesel power. A ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox is standard across the range and four-wheel drive is an option on left but not righthand drive versions.

In summary:

  • Just three keepers and 53,948 miles from new
  • Comes complete with full Maserati service history and current MOT
  • Has been ‘completely trouble-free’ in the current ownership
