An Auction of Classic and Performance Cars and Motorcycles

  Lot 11

1951 BMW R67 600cc

Registration - RJO 597

Chassis No. - 610850

Engine number. - 610850

M.O.T. - Exempt

Odometer - 1,000

This fine-looking UK specification BMW was first registered in November 1951 and still wears its original registration number, ‘RJO 597’. We understand from the vendor that it was the subject of a full restoration as recently as 2021, since when it has travelled less than 1,000 miles, so is not yet fully run in. It is currently geared for solo riding, the 9/32 bevels providing a speed reduction to the rear wheels of 3.56:1. The vendor points out that the bike still has its original carburettors, which are now very rare. He currently classes the machine’s frame, suspension and paintwork as ‘excellent’ and the 600c engine, four-speed transmission, brightwork and cycle parts as ‘good’, and he confirms that everything is ‘in full running order’. He is now offering the bike for sale complete with all the related receipts and a full photographic record of the restoration. Engine number

'A Buyer’s Premium applies to the Hammer Price of this Lot if your bid is successful, as per the following;  Motor Cars 12.5% + VAT (minimum £150 + VAT), Motorcycles and Bicycles 15% + VAT (minimum £100 + VAT); Registration Numbers 15% + VAT (minimum £50 + VAT); Automobilia 15% + VAT (minimum of £5 + VAT).'

Potential buyers should satisfy themselves with the description and condition of each lot prior to sale. Each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ as per the terms and conditions for the auction, buyers are asked to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out the service. Any disputes over descriptions will not be entertained.

Estimated at £12,000 - £13,000
