Chassis No. - JHMEH61600S006509
Registration No. - L83 WFH
Odometer – 74,797
This fun little two-seat Honda was first registered in August 1993. Its apparently unmarked white bodywork is complemented by grey velour interior trim and the car rides on tidy silver-painted alloy wheels shod with almost new tyres. The vendor is the fifth owner of the CRX (previous ones include Jeff Wayne Music of London), whose four-cylinder engine and five-speed manual gearbox he says are a ‘real delight’. It apparently ‘drives, stops and handles without drama’, and is ‘in excellent condition’ throughout. ‘L83 WFH’ was evidently stored for some six years prior to his acquisition in December 2018, which prompted him to have all the fluids renewed along with the cam belt, water pump and sparking plugs. A modest amount of body repair was also carried out in order to restore the original paintwork to the required standard, while the boot scripts and Honda bonnet badge were also renewed. The CRX’s innovative specification includes an electrically-operated rear window, as well as electrically-powered side windows and mirrors and central locking. It also boasts a Targa roof panel that can be lifted out and then stored in a purpose-built carrier within the large luggage area.
The currently indicated total mileage of 74,797 is apparently genuine, and the Honda’s most recent MOT of May 7 last year was passed without advisories. The car is reluctantly offered for sale due to lack of use, and therefore now available to a new keeper complete with: a full set of original pattern Honda alloy wheels equipped with unused tyres; original radio; full book pack; and pair of keys. An apparently excellent example of a rare classic.
